XL-5168
FIRE-RESISTANT HYDRAULIC FLUID FOR HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSIONS
XL-5168 is a non-hydrous synthetic fluid, formulated with organic esters. This product is
ideal for high-temperature applications including metallurgy, steel mills,
forges, foundries, and in the aluminum industry.
Because of its high auto-ignition point (over 450°C), XL-5168 can
be used to avoid the dangers posed by conventional mineral-based oils. XL-5168 is
also self-extinguishing.
XL-5168 is miscible with mineral oils and elastomers (except for Butyl). XL-5168 can
also be used with most hydraulic pumps and installations that use conventional
oil, without requiring any major modifications. Check with the manufacturer
before making any modifications, as doing so may void the manufacturer’s
warranty.
XL-5168 is classified as Biodegradable and Non-toxic, with a rating of PW1.
