WATER-BASED GRAPHITE COATING
XL-2360 is a colloidal dispersion of extremely fine pure graphite in a water-based carrier
that dries to form an electrically conductive adherent film on virtually all
surfaces, including glass and flexible materials.
XL-2360 remains stable at service temperatures of 316°C/600°F and at intermittent temperatures
of 1200°C/2200°F.
Advantages:
• Environmentally safe
• Non-flammable
• Non-corrosive
• Non-toxic
SURFACE PREPARATION: Substrate
must be clean and dry. Etching or sandblasting will improve adhesion and
wear properties.
DILUTION: XL-2360 must
be diluted with soft, distilled, or demineralized water to bring the product
to the desired consistency prior to use. This is achieved by adding water to XL-2360,
and NOT vice-versa. Addition of water must be done while solution is being
thoroughly agitated.
APPLICATION: May
be applied by using spray, brush, or dip methods. Dries in 20 minutes. If
surface temperatures are over 100 °C the water portion of XL 2360 will
evaporate quickly leaving a fine film of graphite.
