POLYON® FMG ANTI-FRICTION GEAR BOX ADDITIVE
XL-3555 POLYON® FMG (Fluoromolygraph) Gear Box Additive is a state-of-the-art oil additive package formulated to treat gear boxes that are using mineral or synthetic gear oils.*
XL-3555 has been formulated with a carefully balanced combination of the three most effective lubricating additives available on the market today, (Polytetrafluoroethylene, Molybdenum, and Graphite). Our modern high speed manufacturing process allows these three additives, coupled with special conditioners, and other high performance chemicals, to be permanently suspended in a super concentrated, highly refined synthetic base lubricant.
XL-3555 forms a thin, tenacious film that bonds to metal surfaces, filling the asperities and cavities that are always present. This thin film provides a considerable reduction in wear and in heat.

High performance friction-reducing additives will ensure less wear and optimize gear box efficiency. Special rust inhibitors retard the attack of gear box contaminants that will result in increased equipment life. Performance conditioners will wet-out dried up seals and gaskets which will aid in reducing gear box leakage.
*XL-3555 uses a synthetic hydrocarbon base oil and is fully compatible with all mineral oils and SHC gear oils. However it is not compatible with water- or glycol-based fluids.
APPLICATION:
A one-litre bottle of XL-3555 will adequately treat any gear box up to a 100-litre capacity. Larger gear boxes should use a treat level equal to 1-3% maximum of XL-3555 to the entire gear oil capacity of the system.
Under “severe service” or high temperature conditions, gear boxes should be re-treated with XL-3555 on an annual basis.
